How many hours must you take to receive financial aid in college?

I keep looking it up and somehow can't find it.

It depends on the "Type" of aid you are referring.
If you qualify for the Pell grant, you can take as few as 1 credit hour and get a small Pell grant to help pay for it. Your grant amount is pro-rated based on how many hours you enroll in up to 12 hours.
In order to get student loans, you need to be enrolled at least half time. This is usually 6 hours.

You'll need to be enrolled as a full time student and take the minimum required amount of credit hours in order to get financial aide. Usually it's 12 hours, some schools are 15.
