My friend told me that there are thousands of scholarships for unusual criteria and she told me that it may be possible that I qualify for a scholarship because I have a "wildlife rehabilitator's" license
(you can see this link re that: http://www.intothewildinc.org/nys-dec-wildlife-rehabilitator-license-conditions.html ).. However maybe you need to look up more scholarships for being female, or for being a female with children who is holding a job and trying to go to school etc. Maybe if your grandparents were immigrants from a certain country.etc etc.
You sound like a hard worker who has struggled to learn and you have come very far and it would be a shame if you cannot continue your schooling so as to become a nurse.
There might be some way to get someone ( a private person or company) with money to "sponsor" you, so to speak (pay for your schooling) and when you get a job you can pay it back.
I don't know which state you are in, but if you are in NYC where I am from, there is an organization known as "The Bridge Fund of NYC." They are actually an organization that helps in housing issues and they helped me pay a huge retroactive rent bill that I had by paying it on my behalf and allowing me to pay them back in small installments. They even allowed me to pay $400 less than what the rent bill was. I am not too sure if they would help in a case such as yours as it is regarding paying for school, but they might. I actually did not contact them directly, I should say and am not sure if they would have responded to me if I had contacted them directly.
A rent-lawyer who was working on my case pro-bono contacted them for me and presented my case on my behalf.
I think you can type them up on Google and should get information on them. In the desperate situation you are in, even if you are not in NY. you can try calling that organization and at least asking questions. They might be able to at least give you advice and tell you of options you have or other organizations that might help. I emphasize I would not know for sure if they can be of help, I can only say try and ask and explain your situation and ask for any advice they might be able to give about different organizations to help people pay certain bills or debts. You can try contacting different kinds of similar charity organizations to ask for advice at least.
