i am currently and LPN and have been working towards my RN degree for a very long time. I was taking classes at the community college and was progressing well until a major turn of events with a terrible, abusive marriage and trying to keep myself safe from harm took a major toil on my education. I had to drop courses, use money which was for school to relocate and now I am to the point where I have been accepted into the Nursing program and can not pay for it because I have exhausted all my financial aide. My credit is horrible and I can not get approved for loans, I have applied for numerous Scholarships and I have no reply. I have turn to playing the lottery for 2 dollars hoping that I could win enough to pay for my tuition. I work full-time to support my household on the weekends so that I can attend school through the week. I just want my tuition taken care of so that I can finish my RN Degree, I have waited 9 years and now that I have been accepted I cant pay for it. I am so heart broken right now. I just need help from somewhere. If I could make payments i would however; they will not accept that so I am stuck. They were trying to work with me and I needed 3000.00 to pay for this semester and work on future ones but I just did not have 3 grand laying around so again I am stuck. Any Suggestions??? I am willing at this point to achieve my goal.

You can enter scholarship drawings for up to $10,000 here: http://www.scholarshippoints.com/join/?sp=3353008

You just earn points by doing nice, easy activities and enter them in! Each point is a chance to win.

ScholarshipPoints has some great blogs, like monthly scholarship updates, and advice to college students or high school seniors. It's one of the easiest scholarships to enter.

This is another great scholarship site with lots of essay scholarships:

http://www.sreducationgroup.org/scholarships

Here are some great scholarship search sites:

http://www.scholarships.com

http://www.fastweb.com

http://www.zinch.com

http://www.cappex.com

http://www.collegeprowler.com

http://www.studentscholarshipsearch.com

You can modify the search criteria to search almost any scholarships.

Here's a compilation of many other scholarship search sites if you've looked through all of the ones above: http://www.college-scholarships.com/free_scholarship_searches.htm

There's also weird scholarships like the duck calling contest, Duct Tape Prom Dress scholarship, etc.

Here's a list of them:

You have many choices. Good luck! I hope you get a great scholarship.

My friend told me that there are thousands of scholarships for unusual criteria and she told me that it may be possible that I qualify for a scholarship because I have a "wildlife rehabilitator's" license

(you can see this link re that: http://www.intothewildinc.org/nys-dec-wildlife-rehabilitator-license-conditions.html ).. However maybe you need to look up more scholarships for being female, or for being a female with children who is holding a job and trying to go to school etc. Maybe if your grandparents were immigrants from a certain country.etc etc.

You sound like a hard worker who has struggled to learn and you have come very far and it would be a shame if you cannot continue your schooling so as to become a nurse.

There might be some way to get someone ( a private person or company) with money to "sponsor" you, so to speak (pay for your schooling) and when you get a job you can pay it back.

I don't know which state you are in, but if you are in NYC where I am from, there is an organization known as "The Bridge Fund of NYC." They are actually an organization that helps in housing issues and they helped me pay a huge retroactive rent bill that I had by paying it on my behalf and allowing me to pay them back in small installments. They even allowed me to pay $400 less than what the rent bill was. I am not too sure if they would help in a case such as yours as it is regarding paying for school, but they might. I actually did not contact them directly, I should say and am not sure if they would have responded to me if I had contacted them directly.

A rent-lawyer who was working on my case pro-bono contacted them for me and presented my case on my behalf.

I think you can type them up on Google and should get information on them. In the desperate situation you are in, even if you are not in NY. you can try calling that organization and at least asking questions. They might be able to at least give you advice and tell you of options you have or other organizations that might help. I emphasize I would not know for sure if they can be of help, I can only say try and ask and explain your situation and ask for any advice they might be able to give about different organizations to help people pay certain bills or debts. You can try contacting different kinds of similar charity organizations to ask for advice at least.

Get A Job, you've already abused the financial aid system a much as is allowed - so there is no additional funding available to you because of your behavior.
