I am not sure exactly what school I am going to, but I do have it narrowed down to 3 schools. Do I need to know what school I am going to be attending before filling out the fafsa or can I put different schools on it?

Yes, you can list up to 10 schools. Each one will send you a financial aid package and then you can use that to determine which school you actually want to attend.
