I received an email saying that I lost my tap award due to:
• Failure to complete a minimum number of credits.

• Failure to accumulate a minimum number of credits.

How can I regain my TAP through the waiver? it then mentions that I can apply for a one time waiver which is intended only to accommodate extraordinary or unusual cases.

What do they consider extraordinary? I was 7 months pregnant when I could not continue going to school because I got kicked out of my mothers house and was under alot of stress. I was able to manage 3 classes in which I got all A's in. 2 of the classes were 3 credits each and another 1.5 so I managed to accumulate 7.5 credits. I really need all the help I can get and I am really stressing out over this.

I don't know if TAP has the same appeals criteria as FAFSA

if it does, then your situation is not likely to qualify

that having been said.... you absolutely won't have it if you don't try

so, you need to write what happened, write out how it is resolved, along with how you plan to juggle your current situation (new mom with infant) with full-time student status in such a way that your class attendance, assignments, and testing performance will not be affected regardless of stressful situations

Extraordinary does not include pregnancy (unless medical issues were serious & required bed-rest or hospitalization).. and does not include arguments with mom, bf, spouse... and also does not include changes in living situation
