What happens to my financial aid if I drop all my classes with a W?

I've already accumulated about 72 transferrable units. Since I had nothing better to do, I enrolled into my community college with 12 units. I ended up dropping all of my classes without a W with the exception of one course (with a W). I really don't know what I was doing. How does this affect my financial aid for the future or when transferring? or is every school different?

If you were receiving financial aid when you dropped all your classes. You may have been put on financial aid probation and/or suspension. It is your responsibility, while receiving financial aid, to maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA and complete 65% of your registered courses. You may not receive any further financial aid. Although every school is different, your financial aid status does not change.

You will only penalized for the class in which you received a W in. The rest of the classes you dropped during add/drop period and will not affect you at all, they will not even be listed on your transcript. The one course you dropped with a W, you will more than likely be responsible for paying back your financial aid for that class only.

Is it going to drop you below a 3.0? or even a 2.5? If not, then you might want to just finish up the class anyway the "w" is MUCH worse than a "C" and, yes, you would have to pay back Fin Aid money

By dropping that number of classes you will wind up finding yourself on "financial aid probation" - regardless of if you change/transfer colleges or not - due to "lack of academic progress" in your previous semester.

You will have to pay the money back, but I thought only 62 credits transfer.
