Call local community colleges... I don't' know if its the same way in New York, but where I live the community colleges offer free GED classes for people of any age.

The Brooklyn public library gives free GED and pre-ged classes. I think registration starts soon. i would call the adult literacy office of the Brooklyn public library find when registration starts. You can find the number by calling the park slope branch of the Brooklyn public library. You can find the number for the branch on the Brooklyn public library website.

Some local HS in each city have at night programs. Also, cmmunity colleges. Good luck.
