How long until my student loan comes through? Status: Approved.?

After an ordeal with the student loans company my loan status has finally been 'approved'. So i am now waiting for the money to come through.

I was wondering, is there still a lot of processing it has to go through? Is there a cue until mine can be processed? Or does approved mean it is all done and dusted and waiting to go into my bank account and it is the banks problem. It has been 'approved' for about a week now. The reason i'm curious is because i need the money pretty soon, important sales are ending and people are wanting rent.

In case it helps: I'm with student finance Wales, and this is my first student loan. It is also the Maintenance loan i am waiting to come through to my bank account.

If it is showing approved, it may be that the SLC are checking your National Insurance Number (this is done for all students). That takes over a week. Have you applied on-line? If so you should have received a Declaration Form to sign and return.



As you are with Student Finance Wales, I would recommend phoning your Local Authority Number and ask them to check the stage your application is at.

once your application has been approved, they will send you a declaration form which you will need to sign and send back,i suggest using special delivery service, then you should receive the payment roughly 9 days after they receive it
